Ship inspection, maintenance and repairs
Hansadiver has been certified by most of the existing classification societies such as Lloyd’s Register, ABS, Rhina, Bureau Veritas, DNV GL and Class NK. For over 20 years, Hansadiver has performed ship maintenance, class renewals and repairs works in the Port of Hamburg, in Northern Germany and – in some cases – abroad. Our inspection divers have been trained and certified by the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing in accordance with the European Inspection Standard EN 473. As a result, we are able to make use of all common inspection methods such as MPI, ACFM/Eddy Current and ultrasonic testing for material inspections. It is essential to quickly repair any damages that might be identified during a class renewal survey in order to avoid long stand-by times for the client – that’s where Hansadiver’s welding team comes into play.
Offshore
Offshore wind farms have become an important issue due to the establishment of several wind farms in the North and Baltic Sea. An affiliated company, GSS Hansa Offshore GmbH, was founded to actively participate in this market. It is closely connected to Hansadiver and its personnel who have many years of expertise in the offshore field. The first assignments were not long in coming. By now, GSS Hansa Offshore GmbH can provide numerous references in many offshore work fields like NDT inspection, salvage, explosive ordnance disposal, cable burials and surveys for renowned companies like Vattenfall, WPD and Prysmian.
Underwater welding, gouging
Due to our many years of experience in the inshore and onshore sector, we can even carry out highly demanding tasks concerning all materials that are weldable underwater.
Hansadiver is one of the few certified specialist companies for underwater welding. We set quality standards with innovative solutions like gouging. The underwater welders are specially trained and certified for the upcoming jobs. All of our underwater welders are trained and certified in accordance with the internationally valid standard AWS D3,6 and Lloyd’s Register/DNV-GL.
Explosive ordinance disposal
The explosive ordnance disposal unit is equipped with state-of-the-art ship, probes and GPS technology. Any kind of explosive ordnance removal on water surfaces and in shore areas is carried out professionally. Every diving team is staffed with personnel in accordance with § 20 Explosives Act. Our specially developed antimagnetic construction tubes are used for deeper sites on water or land surfaces if explosive ordnances are suspected to be found there. Due to a long-term cooperation with the explosive ordnance disposal unit of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Hansadiver now holds a framework contract and pre-qualification in accordance with § 6 (German Construction Contract Procedures). Hansadiver has established itself as a constant partner of the other explosive ordnance disposal units in Northern Germany and their coastal waters.
