Through our long-standing experience and training in line with international standards in all areas of underwater diving both onshore and offshore, we are now capable of completing certified welding assignments in any area. This guarantees high-quality work that has been well received, particularly in the area of ship repairs - and demand continues to grow. Since 1982, the base and office of HANSADIVER has been located directly on the waters of the North Elbe river behind the Elbe bridges - a perfect location when it comes to equipping ships for new missions. Since 2010, we also have our own port in the Billwerder Bay. Our guarantee of the full range of services for international maritime transport has also led HANSADIVER to become known in many other parts of the world.
HANSADIVER has been awarded certification by all existing classification societies such as Germanische Lloyd, Lloyd‘s Register, Rina, Büro Veritas, DNV and NKK. For over 20 years, HANSADIVER has also performed ship maintenance, class renewals and repairs – in the port of Hamburg, throughout Northern Germany and, in some cases, abroad. Our inspection divers have been trained and certified by the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (DGZFP) in accordance with European Inspection Standard EN 473. As a result, we are capable of using all common inspection methods such as MPI, ACFM/Eddy Current and UT material inspections in our work. If damages are identified during a class renewal survey, it is very urgent that they are quickly rectified to avoid prolonged stand-by periods for customers. In most cases, that‘s where HANSADIVER`s other special unit comes into play.
Through our cooperation with the company Hydroweld, we are capable of training our welders in accordance with international standards (Lloyd‘s Register) while drawing on our extensive onshore experience acquired over many years. We offer welding services from any position for all materials suitable for underwater welding. In order to ensure our welders are specially certified for jobs of this kind, we are able perform test welds in our welding training pool in accordance with the respective welding code. We are also the first German company capable of offering underwater gouging. This method makes it possible to reliably remove welds or entire components. As a result, any risk of damaging sensitive parts such as the ship‘s shaft, propeller shaft or hull is ruled out.
The explosive ordinance disposal unit is equipped with ultra-modern probes, ship and GPS technology - we are also capable of taking assignments on international waters and near-shore areas. Every diving team is composed of personnel in accordance with Section 20 (Explosive Ordinance Act (Kampfmittelverordnung)).
Special antimagnetic pipes can be used for deeper sites in the water or on land where there is a suspicion of explosive ordinance. Through its year-long cooperation with the explosive ordinance disposal unit of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, HANSADIVER holds pre-qualification for explosive ordinance disposal from VMC in accordance with Section 6 German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB).
